Script for Goodwin-Hollis Family Movies DVD#1 (Original reels 1-3) Reel #1 1937 Opens with family and friends aboard a sailboat in the spectator fleet for the 1937 America's Cup Races with J-boats. People: Augusta (Bradford) Hollis [Mummy] with white beanie and sunglasses; David Olivieira lighting pipe; Mummy's summer neighbors at meadow Shores, the Emmets, I think; Gloria Betts Hollis (1931--) and Louise Rowley (Cousin Weezie-1928-1999.) Also views of a square rigger and others in the spectator fleet. I do not know the identity of the helmswoman, nor or the boat they are aboard. 1938 Next scenes are of Mummy and Daddy's wedding on 29 July 1938 at 155 Lake Ave., Newton Centre, Massachusetts, home of the bride's parents Harry Prince Bradford (1868-1957) and Maria (mu-rye-uh) Louise (Cumings) Bradford [Nana] (1867-1950.) First image of bridal party features Gloria Betts Hollis (1931-) and Harry Bradford Hollis (1929-2000), both children of the bride; Augusta (Bradford) (Hollis) Goodwin (1904-1958), the bride; Robert Hancock Goodwin, M.D. (1903-1988), the groom. Subsequent images of the bridal party feature Gloria Betts Hollis, Flower Girl; Harry Bradford Hollis, Ring Bearer, in front; John Bryant Goodwin [Uncle Jack] (1905-1990), brother of the groom, Best Man; Geneva (Burr) Sanders, [Auntie Jim] Mummy's best friend, Matron of Honor; Augusta (Bradford) (Hollis) Goodwin, bride; Robert Hancock Goodwin, M.D., groom; Maria Louise (Cumings) Bradford, bride's mother. Next of the groom; Charles Fawcett Goodwin [Grampa Goodie] (1874-1941), father of the groom. Scenes of guests. Honeymoon at "Lakewood", White Mountains, New Hampshire. Mummy packs the car. Mummy in cottage doorway; Daddy with pipe; Mummy reaches for cattail; Daddy smoking long-stemmed pipe and Mummy drinking tea on the cottage porch; scenes of White Mountains. Fleeting glimpse of Gloria and Louise Rowley (Cousin Weezie) (1928-1999.) At beach: Brad squatting on rock as James Fern Hollis, Jr. [Jim[ (1927-2000) rows by in red skiff; on board another sailboat; shark swimming; furling sails on an unknown square rigger; sunset. 1938 or 1939: Christmas "stockings hung by the chimney with care" note model of "Bessie Marie" a Newfoundland boat on mantel; Gloria on Christmas morning; Jim hides his face from camera; Brad grins while playing with gift; Christmas dinner at Nana and Bompa's house with Gloria, Bompa (Harry P. Bradford), Hortense Rowley [Cousin Sis] (1930-2021) with doll, Louise Rowley [Cousin Weezie]; Brad in background with feathered friend; Gertrude Cumings (Aunt Googie) (1873-1958) laughing in center, Weezie on right, looks like a Cumings? lower left. 1940 Scenes of baby Anne (Anne Bradford Goodwin (1940-): Anne & Mummy; in bathtub sitting up by herself; getting dried off and dressed for bed - loves her plastic fish - she has two top front teeth and hair. Christmas in rocking horse next to Christmas tree. With Grampa Goodie who had lots of gold-capped teeth and then with Googie. I was their first grandchild. This was a year before Grampa Goodie died.
