Abstract
Color, out of focus and dirty footage of family around house, playing in snow, learning to ski on lawn and melting snow, sledding. Boy gets up on horse, horse riding group lesson, sign "Fran and Bill's". View of car accident [?] with people milling around. Sign: "Hotel Oneida". People and children exiting, boy and man play catch. B&W footage old man poses and younger man sits in chair nearby. Child with dog on lawn. Intertitle: "Agfa 1942." Hand creates intertitle, "Mr. Doodle Comes…" , part of sign is unreadable. This footage appears to be an incomplete amateur comedy about a housebreaker. Interior footage is all out of focus. Exterior shots are in focus. Two men on street, one or both act drunk. One goes in door of his home, and the other stealthily tries to enter the house next door without anyone noticing. That man gets locked out, opens window and climbs in, goes upstairs to find that "Prunella" has left a note that she will be back tomorrow and that his stealth has been all for naught. Second take is similar. Intertitle: "The End" Donor notes: "Spring Street--Pawtucket, Syracuse, Lippitt Theatre, Old Man, Mr. Doodle"
