"At the beach at camp, Cape Rosier, Mary Lou, David, Mark playing in the waves. Albert tuning his fiddle on the beach then streched out on an air matress on top of a makeshift driftwood “raft” playing his fiddle. Probably Bach or Beethoven. Mary Lou in fancy blue dress picking blackberries. Where??? David picking, sort of, too. Mary Dietrich with box of what? They look like gooseberries. Change of scene: It looks like the first day of school. Orrington. Mary Lou heads down to the Wests’ house to catch the school bus. Mark, toddler, among the birch trees at Orrington home. River view from house. (View no longer view-able.) The family VW microbus being backed out of garage. Al Dietrich uncovering squash plants (covered to prevent frost damage in the night), then driving off to work in Bangor. Change of scene: driving past the paper mill in Bucksport, Maine. St. Regis. Just looking at this part of the movie, I can smell the smell of that mill. Ugh. Piles of pulp wood. Change of scene: beach at Cape Rosier. Mary Lou and friend, David and friend in cowboy hat."
