NHF cataloger: Boys rig a sailboat. One boy gets into a rowboat and rows away. A man on the dock gets into a row boat. A group of people mill around on the shore. [End of Reel]
Supplied by the Historic Movies of Martha’s Vineyard project at the Vineyard Gazette in Edgartown, Massachusetts: Pier belonging to John R. Forman, harbor master and freight hauler; later this becomes the pier of the Daggett House. Youngsters rig sailboats, possibly Sneakboxes imported from Barnegat Bay, New Jersey. Small skiff visible, powered by an early outboard motor. Forman may be the man stepping aboard a skiff. People mill about the area from which the Chappy ferry departed then and now.
