VHS copy of factual work shot at York Museum, Saco. Dated 8 July 1988. Footage is a videotape tour of 1988 York Museum exhibit titled 'Factory Island: Bricks Mortar and Hope,' which explores the textile mill/industrial heritage of the Biddeford-Saco area. The exhibit was a two-year public project by the York Museum and Dyer Library, funded in part by the Maine Humanities Council. Library Director Tad Baker and Museum Curator Kerry O'Brien appear. The stated long-term project plan was permanent relocation of the exhibit to 'Factory Island' (Saco Island).
