The Moose River country is beautiful.' Woman fishes from shore. Bushes extend over water of river which is rapidly flowing. White water rapids of swiftly flowing river. 38:00. Shore line mountainside, trees. The rapids. Birch trees along shoreline. Hiram Percy Maxim unwraps film, tosses wrapper out of boat. Loads camera. Intertitle: 'A deserted cabin at Baker's Ledge'. Woman carves with knife under exterior cabin window. 39:09. Percy Maxim Lee stands in front of cabin and scratces writing into wall. Chair is on porch. She enters cabin. Cabin exterior. Hiram Percy Maxim enters cabin. Figure in doorway. Woman stands on tree trunks. River moving on shoreline. Woman is fishing. 40:00. She casts line. Intertitle: 'Playing around in the warm sunshine. ' Lee fishes from canoe. River surface is tranquil. Birches, shoreline trees. Lee reclines across canoe. She smiles as canoe begins to drift. Sitting in stern, woman paddles canoe. Bits and pieces of chopped wood on shoreline. 41:01. Pan of debris. Rear shot of woman fishing from canoe. She fishes while astride tree trunk. River is in motion. Intertitle: 'Then it came time to pack up and start out. ' Woman fishes as white-white rapids increase in violence. Intertitle: 'My daughter's idea of a lunch.' 42:00. Woman unwraps complexity of white papers, revealing a doughnut in their midst. She removes two eggs from a box. She unwraps cheese. Man stands by canoe on trailer. Intertitle: 'The 'Railroad' at Attean rips carry has to be rebuilt.' 43:05. Maxim and other man move canoe (named Pappus) along railroad. Canoe is in water. Older man holds onto it as other man works on opposite side. Older man brushes hair back with hand. Intertitle: 'Back again at the head camp, Attean Island.' Birch trees with several camps in background. Silhouette of tree. River surface, mountainside on opposite shore. 44:05. Men walk down woodland path. Older one supports self with cane. Middle-aged buddy wears suspenders, is bare-headed. Three other men descend path. One carries axe. Has items over other arm. CU this man. Carving man stands behind older man. Three men in boat. Man moves steering wheel slightly. 45:01. Boat begins voyage. Intertitle: 'And finally the transfer back into the automobile'. Man handles oar as he smokes pipe. Man stands in canoe while using oar to manipulate canoe. Young man removes luggage, fishing rod and coat from canoe. Intertitle: 'Finis'. Man in captains cap steps out of cabin of boat. 46:01. He points toward craft. He talks, looks toward craft. Woman waves as she emerges from craft. She reenters craft. Intertitle: 'Charles Goodwin's 'Golden Hind' Schooner sailing in middle distance. [Goodwin was from Hartford, owned a boat yard, the Dauntless Shipyard, and the Golden Hind, 46ft., 1926, was Alden designed.] Woman standing at side of yacht. Head of person sitting in front of her is silhouetted. The two look out over water at opposite shoreline. 47:04. Water surface as boat approaches from distance. Small boat leaves formidable wake. Intertitle: 'Hamilton Maxim's 'Black Duck' [catboat]. Sailboat on water surface with dinghy. 48:00. Intertitle: 'Plum Island breakwater.' Two men fish while standing on shore. Both wear white trousers. One wears sailor hat and smokes pipe. Man pulls in line. Buddy continues to fish as he stands. Water surface. Bent rod, fishing line. This man snares fish. 49:01. Man in sailor hat continues fishing. He, too, makes a 'catch'. The men place fish in pail on rock on which they've been standing. Elevated wharf. Two men fishing from rock. One is crouched down while buddy stands. 50:04. Man in sailor hat now commences fishing. Hooks fish. Man crouches down. He baits hook. Casts his line. Water surface in motion. 51:00. Success once more! He removes fish from hook. Water surface reflecting setting sun. Clouds against horizon. Shot holds. Intertitle: 'And then the cold weather came again and 'Moby Dick' had to be hauled out.' Boat yard, Dauntless Shipyard, Inc. Craft named 'Moby Dick, Boston. [Moby Dick, 37 ft. ketch, C.W.
