Girl and elderly woman with cane in garden with lilacs. Dog greets people, two boys and a man in a hat join the scene outside house. Camera is generally stable and follows action. Perhaps the woman in dark dress was behind the camera, as she is then seen with the group and man is behind camera, we suppose. Following shot to house with enclosed porch. [Eidlitz family home is “Overlea” in East Hampton, 58 Ocean Avenue. C.L.W. Eidlitz (1885-1921) designed the original New York Times Building; from 1910 partnered with Stephen Voorhees, ACL and NYWF.] Water with float and slide on it. People swimming. In the distant background there is a tall chimney; this may be the fish factory at Napeague, Devon Yacht Club, NY? People climbing on rocks in a wooded area. Stream, footbridge, people climb on rocks. Man in drivers’ hat runs into frame, helps walkers. The family approaches the camera ECU. View of family on rocks and pan down cascading water. Children on bridge. Long view of water on rocks, group approaches camera. River, people on rocks and built structures. Dark; inside something. Light flashes; exposure issues. People carrying snowshoes, going into the woods. There is a railing in the woods. Man has pipe. Pan of group, woman waves at camera. Scotty dog on snowy road turns and bounds off. People walk using snowshoes. Snow covered tree boughs in FG; group walks away from camera. Pan of trees, mostly conifers, includes birches. People take off snowshoes, stick them in snow bank. Exposure is contrasty. Six people walk on snow, all wear hats. They are on a hillside. “North Star” sleigh with four horses: a winter sleigh ride outside a house or an inn. The sleigh leaves with sleds towed behind. Inside a sugar shack or food preparation shed. Man tosses pancakes? Group approaches on snow-covered walkway. The camera position is somewhat elevated, perhaps from the shed. Eating in the shed which is open to the outdoors. People lick fingers. Contrasty. In sleigh, poor coverage. Followed by too rapid pan of houses in winter. Snowshoers approach the camera; stable (tripod) shot. Man waves his hat. Woman waves her arms. People approach camera ECU. Needs exposure adjustment. Man with bow tie waves his hand. It is snowing. People walk to camera. Dog in snow wagging tail. Brief shot.
