Premiered at The Strand, Gardiner, Me. on 16 November 1921. ONSITE REFERENCE ONLY. Man with a temper befriends a bear, learns to control his temper and wins the daughter of the mill owner and job running sawmill. Man shoots down beehive over bear's head, talks to bear as it lies on its back, sits with bear on bed in his cabin, feeds him, introduces frightened girlfriend to him. Bear scares elderly woman who paddles away in canoe. A man convinces another man not to shoot bear. Bear climbs up tree after man. Bear plays on front steps. Philip Carle previously directed features for Hearst interests, according to Kennebec Journal, 19 July 1921.
