Celebrate Maine’s bicentennial with a live outdoor film event featuring two special programs, one that celebrates Maine people’s lives over the years through a contemplative curation of Mainer’s own historic home movies; and another, a collection of shorts edited during the pandemic in Maine’s 200th year, 2020.

Please join Northeast Historic Film in the "Film Room" in the Farm Museum at Fryeburg Fair. We will be showing all of your favorites from our Videos of Life In New England collection including "From Stump to Ship" and "Dead River Rough Cut." Screenings are continuous and random throughout the day, following the schedule of other exhibitors. (9am-5pm) Sometimes earlier. Often later. Depends on interest and crowds. Requests are welcome.

NHF in Vermont: "THE FILMS OF ANNA B. HARRIS"

Please join Manchester Historical Society for a presentation by Karan Sheldon, co-founder of Northeast Historic Film, on August 16, at 6pm in the event barn at the Inn at Manchester. Karan will show selections from the 37 reels of film taken by Anna B. Harris in Manchester between 1949 and 1958. The films provided a unique view of life in Manchester and the Mountains from intimate moments at home to Big Bromley and Snow Valley ski areas as well as meeting passengers at the train station in Manchester Depot.

Sanford International Film Festival

NHF is pleased to partner with the Sanford International Film Festival. The festival's opening night, May 26, centers around local history. We will screen portions of the Goodall Mills Collection, 1920s industrial films including "The Story of Chase Velmo: The Perfected Mohair Velvet" and "The Goodall Summertime: The Story of Warm Weather Profits."
