Early Maine Home Movies Found in Georgia

Submitted by David
The only known films of famous early Broadway star Annie Russell were found in the Pebble Hill Plantation Collection in Thomasville, Georgia. Annie Russell and her actor husband Oswald Yorke had a house on Johns Bay near Pemaquid, Maine which is featured in one of the reels of rare 28mm film. We often find film taken in faraway places and it is nice to get confirmation that the reverse is also true. For more details see the press release from the UGA Media Archives.
