Around Cape Horn

$29.95

In 1929, during the last great days of commercial sail, Capt. Irving Johnson sailed aboard the massive bark PEKING. He filmed the crew's daily activities and spectacular scenes from high aloft during a wild storm rounding Cape Horn. This video presents a look at shipboard life and provides the chance to see how these huge vessels were rigged and sailed.

Preserve

Without cold storage at low humidity, the film in your basement or your neighbor's attic cracks, rots, and fades, and part of our region's history is lost. NHF staff members have the skills and tools to preserve your valued moving images.
