These scenes appearing in this reel are outtakes or duplicates of scenes from the edited films produced by The Maine Sea Coast Mission. Several winter scenes of Sunbeam at a dock. Views along the Maine coastline as Sunbeam plows through icy waters. Views of several harbors and villages along the coast. Views of various lighthouses from the waters offshore. A man does a trick with a dog on a dock. The Sunbeam overtakes one of the ferries between the mainland and an island. Views of smoke from the 1947 Bar Harbor fire taken from atop one of the nearby mountains. Blurred views through the lens of a lighthouse toward Sunbeam anchored nearby. Brief views of Petit Manan lighthouse, off Millbridge, built in 1817. Views of a Bar Harbor summer garden party, perhaps at Ledgelawn, the headquarters of the Maine Seacoast Mission. Seven men pose for the camera, including the director of the Mission. In another scene, three Mission employees pose on a dock, with the director joining them. Additional views of one of the homes that the Mission used in Bar Harbor Views of a wreck on a shoreline. Views of the mountains of Acadia in the winter, partially covered in snow. Shots of people coming down dock to Sunbeam, hauling suitcases, and views getting off Sunbeam at a dock. Many sea birds are seen flying over and landing on a rocky outcropping. HAS of a ceremony on a dock with a military color guard and uniformed participants. Views of car being put on Sunbeam using two wooden ramps. Views of a Coast Guard gutter moving through icy waters. Views of the lighthouse at Crabtree Ledge, built in 1890. This caisson-style, "spark-plug" light once stood in Frenchman Bay, near Hancock Point. It was sold to a series of private owners and was so poorly maintained that it eventually collapsed.
