FOR REFERENCE ONLY. // This is the 30 minute version of the film. // Four seasons in a remote wilderness of northern Maine, two middle aged men live in a tarpaper shack, hunting, trapping and logging with a pair of oxen. They share their reflections about women, politics, taxes, the lone life and death. [This synopsis same as Maine Times, 11-23-73, p. 16, 17] LC list 1991, Lumbering--Maine--Dead [River] Valley. Not in LC Collection. There were 16mm prints at ISC University of Maine and at Maine State Library.
