Shots of Katahdin boys camp, Etna Maine, circa 1953. Interiors of one of the cloth tents. Views of man in white suit checking the cabins and tent. Intertitle: "Assembly for Mail Call and assignment to activities". Boys sits on steps of cabin as male counselor hands out mail. Boys lie on blankets on ground as they learn to shoot rifles. They make paper targets and attach them to a wood railing. Intertitle: "Nature Study". Boys walk around in forest looking at different kinds of trees. Intertitle: "Life Saving Instruction". Boys work on CPR skills on dock. One boys does chest compressions as another lies on the dock. Drowning exercises are practiced. Intertitle: "Wrestling". An instructor helps boys learn the various wrestling moves.
