Intertitles: “Maine the Land of Remembered Vacations” “Official State Picture Maine Development Commission State House Augusta, Maine” Reel 87 is a promotional film about summer camps for boys and girls in Maine with intertitles throughout. The footage includes boys and girls arriving in town on a train, getting into cars and trucks, arriving at camp and walking around the camp. The girls camp has footage of girls outdoors and inside cabins weaving, sewing, hammering metal into plates, trays and bowls, painting, canoeing on a river, practicing archery, swimming and diving in a lake, playing tennis, taking a canoe out of the water, setting up a tent, starting a fire, sharpening an axe on a wheel, chopping wood, roasting birds over an open fire, making biscuits, eating lunch at picnic tables, sailing on a lake and receiving pieces of paper at a ceremony with several adults. The boys camp has footage of boys swimming in a lake. The footage also contains a few shots of the camp, a shot of a man in a garden and a few shots of the sun through the clouds.
