Company-made film about how vanilla extract is made. Opening of film is missing but otherwise it is complete through the end. Intertitles. 1) Constant inspection must be maintained to prevent mould. -Images of person inspecting in microscope. 2) Only perfect beans are selected and those of the same length are tied in bundles. -Images of workers bundling and packing beans. 3) Only cedar is used for packing boxes. Like choice cigars, vanilla absorbs the color of any other wood. -Images of boxes being strapped to burrows. 4) The two cases weight 450 pounds, but the burrows seem not to mind. -Images of Burrows with cases. 5) Two days later we reach Tidewater. -Images of ship and port. 6) And there down the coast by steamer to Vera Cruz for Shipment to the United States. -Images of Burnett's Vanilla Building. -Boxes of vanilla being unpacked. 7) Careful Laboratory control of every process. -Images of lab. 8) Combined with frequent inspection of the vanilla pods insures a uniform product. -Inspections. 9) The beans are now finely chopped. -Processing. 10) And converted into vanilla extract by percolating in glass lined tanks. -Images of tanks. 11) And here is your Vanilla in the bottle at last. -Images of bottling assembly. 12) Now you know something of the painstaking care that makes Burnett's Vanilla the Best. -Images of 2 little boys drinking milk -Box of Bunrett's Vanilla -Short animation of 'Burnett's Vanilla' letters, in milk with a little sugar.
