Intertitles: “Maine, The Land of Remembered Vacations” “Official State Picture, Maine Development Commission, State House, Augusta, Maine” Reel 81 is a promotional film about living in Maine year-round with intertitles throughout. The footage includes scenic views of mountains, lakes, rivers, country roads, houses, with some colonial-style houses, churches and gardens, older women selling quilts on the steps of a town hall, a bake sale, young girls picking strawberries in a field, a woman picking raspberries, a waitress with a lobster on her apron posing with a dinner plate, a man smoking birds over a fire, people having a picnic on tables by a lake, a large gathering of people eating outside, children bottle feeding lambs, people sailing, a woman diving into a lake form the pier, fisherman coming to shore and displaying their catch on the docks, people water skiing and a few shots of the sun setting.
