Mary Stewart Hafer notes: Our cottage at Little Squam Lake, NH. Christmas Day, 1992. Nana, Archie, Fred and Mary, Abby , Tom and Ann and William and Virginia, Ann and Dick Maguire, Judy Leipold and her daughter, Amanda all present. Dog Ricki. Virginia in Stewart plaid cap distributing gifts. William trying out Christmas harmonica. Attempting "No place like home." Picture of bridge and ice. All singing "We wish you a merry Christmas." January 23, 1993 John, Moira and dog, Charlie all visiting at 388 Grand Street. Nana and Moira playing fishing game. John helping. Moira playing in kitchen drawer that Archie, I, John and all other kids played in. Big birthday cake for Moira (birth date January 20, 1989). Feb 13 Big snowstorm. Shot from upstairs window. Everything coated in white. Feb 23 at Squam cottage. Ann and Reg Sauls IV, John and Moira Hafer, Tom, Ann, William and Virginia Hafer. Ann and Dick Maguire. Reg IV doing beautiful quilting. Feb 24 William with portable computer (?). Nana and Reg IV in snow. Talk: Moira skied "LeRoy's Loop," the beginner's slope at Waterville Valley. Under Uncle Dick's guidance, Virginia and I skied "True Grit," a double black diamond slope. Feb 27 Upstairs at The Common Man. Back home, Archie opening gifts. July 3, Newburgh. Family gathered to celebrate Archie and Nana's 70th wedding anniversary. Actual date: October 20, 1923. Little Reggie playing in kitchen toy drawer. Rex and Little Reggie at piano. Anniversary Dinner at Ramada Inn. Family plus Maharay cousins. George and Janet, Annie and Hank Eggleston, Borghild, widow of Arthur who had died suddenly on June 4 in Italy the previous month. George Maharay says grace. End picture: Mother with me as a small child kissing tiny baby sister Ann.
