June 1978 - Wait and Al buying strawberries on Route 49 after an annual fishing trip to Somers Point, the day after a rental per-formance of Little Murders at the Little Theatre; then Kevin and his Economy Paneling team playing a soccer game at the Millville Airport field, with Ned and Maura as "interested" spectators; then the kids out front dressed up for Ned's "graduation," with Ned rehearsing his tow lines while Danny Richter looks on; then Ned's sixth birthday out back with Todd Benni, Danny, and Vin-cent Macrine. ***** Dandy in a soccer game at Cumberland Region-al H.S. field; then Kevin disguised as his hero, Gene Simmons of "Kiss"; then a ball game at the Vet (Phls-Atlanta), with Walt and the kdis in the SRO area, while Gretchen "fumes" below (Mike Schmidt is at bat); then Franny Andolora and her kids in front of their house; then our kids out back in their "Kiss" shirts, joined by Heather and a friend. ***** June 17, 1978 - MBJ's wed-ding in Georgetown, with family and friends, including Rick Cur-ry, John and Gus, the Gallaghers and McKeons, Rev. Declan McHugh (celebrant), and Luke and Eddie Jr. making cameo appearances. ***** Late June - A Guild picnic at Giampietro Park in Vineland, with the Gratzes, Toners, Newkirks, Goldstines, O'Donnells, Rid-dles, and Sauls; then cousin Paul and the kids out back (the older ones having recently returned from N.C.). ***** July 1978 (our annual Vermont trip) - The kids after church posing between the house and the lake; then Gretchen doing the same; then Ned "fishing"; then the kids in bathing suits playing with crayfish; then Ned and Pop-pop in a canoe, the kids on the dock, and a close-up shot of a milk container marking a Goddard College ex- periment. ***** Vermont continued - The kids and Gretchen play- in horseshoes out front; then Dad and the kids on the lake; then Kevin and "R.J." on a stormy day (note the white caps); then the weekly sailboat race; then a visit from Uncle Richard and Aunt Laura (Menz), including a picnic lunch in Montpelier on top of a hill in the city park. ***** Vermont cont'd. - A visit to the Barre granite quarries; then Chris and Maura back at the dock at sunset; then a visit from the Parvins, featuring Scott on a raft and the others on the dock. ***** Vermont cont'd. - Both families on the dock, with Kevin and Scott's "contraption" floating; then a trip to Craftsbury Common and its cemetery.
