Bud Leavitt interviews 97 year-old George Higgins about his experiences growing up in Jonesport and memories of Washington County in the early 1900s. Higgins was owner of the Arthur Chapin Company in Bangor and he describes the 1911 fire that devastated the city. Also discusses salmon fishing on the Miramichi River in New Brunswick in 1939 and his thoughts on how the world has changed.
