Viewing NotesContinues with footage of young Carolyn at the picnic seen at the end of Reel 2. Margaret and Carolyn leaving the Handy Shop with tricycle, Carolyn rides it on downtown sidewalks. Two men (Clifton and Mr. Pinkham?) in suits escort Carolyn outdoors, through woods and over rocks, visiting a rural home. Cut to New York house, outdoors on lawn with Carolyn, Margaret & another woman. The three visit playground and scenes follow of play on the slide, swingset, seesaw, and other playground attractions. Cut to a large group of children at play in a private yard, on slide and swingset. One shot shows a group of nine children sitting around the rim of a wagon wheel. Cut to interior scene, where Mr. Pinkham reads to Carolyn and is joined by Margaret. Dining with Mr. and Mrs. Pinkham.
