Archie's car with 7D350 license plate (Pontiac?) parked beside highway, second pulls out on road. WS roadside fence posts, woods beyond, Autumn. Cars beside large log house, WS of lake [Mary Stewart Hafer: possibly Brooks Bluff at Robbinston, Maine; if so, water is St. Croix River]. (Faded color) Loading gear in canoe at Grand Lake Stream, man points rifle. Five men in boat pushing off shore, motor out into sparkling lake (dusk? Nice shot). Airplane on lake shore [Grumman Widgeon with West Point insignia; P.D. Weikert is pilot]. LS of man taking deer out of boat, hefting on shoulder. [Boat is the "Sadie"] VS of loading gear, kill, passengers into plane. Nice color sequence: Plane taxis to shoreline, wheels stick in mud. Men use long lever, struggle to free tires. Push plane into lake, taxis heavily, LS of takeoff. VS hunters on shore, testing ice. Archie strokes his mustache and goatee. Dog, Patsey the Gordon Setter, scratching furiously. Man looking through spy glass. Moving shot from boat of man and dog on shore. VS of men in boat. Nice shot of trout swimming. VS Rob Golding at others on street in front of Buick dealership. Drawing of exotic cat [mother's work]. Birthday party: Mary, Ann, Archie, George Northrop, Howard Kendall and others around dinner table. Howard Kendall opens present of shoes.
