Amateur footage primarily of camp activities at Birch Rock Camp, Waterford, Me. (and possibly at Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, N.H. where William Brewster, founder of Birch Rock Camp, was headmaster for many years). // NHF Cataloguer's Notes: (09:00) MS highway in wooded area. Truck with back loaded with boys. They wave to camera. MS several boys sit in front of birthday cake aglow with candles. Young men gathered in forest. Woman with them points as if giving directions. Upside down canoes nearby. Young man smiles. Man and two women standing near something with tarpaulin. (10:00) Group of young men in woods. Three canoes on lake paddled by young men. MS dock, water, boys paddling. LS churning water. More canoeing. MS wooded area. Group of adults sitting on ground talking. (12:02) MS young boys dressed for swimming. Adults nearby. LS lake, boys paddling canoes. Float in lake. Boys perform exercise while standing in canoes. Very young boys placed in tin tubs and lovingly dunked in water by older men. Young man uses tin tub for boat. Young man in tub uses his hands as oars to navigate the water. Adult man wades into water to speak to young man in tub. LS mid-lake float with people on it.
