Davis children dressed like Indians, doing dances, fighting and dying. The 'Indians' go for a boat ride. Boy in lifejacket. Black terrier jumps in canoe. Boy rowing. She was born in Philadelphia on September 19, 1911. After graduating from Bryn Mawr College in 1932 where she majored in zoology, she became a graduate student at Yale University. Miss Oppenheimer joined the faculty of Bryn Mawr College in 1938 as an instructor in Biology. She retired from the College faculty in 1980 as the William R. Kenan, Jr. Professor of biology and History of Science
