[may not be Seal Harbor; pier, lifeguard, length of beach indicate it is another location] Intertitle: "Southwest Harbor" Fishing vessel with name U and I. View of harbor, many vessels. Dock with buoys laid on it, buildings in background. Buoy tender at dock. Overexposed view of two masted vessel under sail, davits on stern towing three dinghies. From harbor, dock with buoys, boat. Intertitle: "To prevent this Lafayette National Park was formed" [Lafayette National Park name for Acadia National Park from its formation in 1919 to name change in 1929] color views of cut over land, men with logs on trailer and long line of logs on hillside by road, ready for transport. They roll log to trailer (load collapses). Three mean work with peaveys. The logs are large. One of them is measuring the logs. View of logs on a river. Mill. Man rolls log onto carriage to go into mill, two others (one a boy) help him. Good view of adjusting the log once the first slab is sawn off. Spray of sawdust as second side is removed. Color is faded. CU of arm and hand in foreground, log moves into mill and board is sawn. Man moves next log onto carriage. Man measures it. Sawing; view of grain revealed when slab sawn off. View of well and cross.
