Backgrounds of individuals vary: doctor, trapper, TV performer, etc. Scenes of families together at home and pursuing recreational interests: swimming, boating, cross-country skiing. Varieties of farms: greenhouse projects (flowers and fruit and vegetables); kitchen gardeners (home canning and freezing). Scenes of preparing gardens and harvesting. Also cattle farms: beef and dairy; poultry farms and sheep farms. Part-time farmers in Maine can enjoy Maine broiler Day in Belfast (Maine poultry industry crowns a queen for a year, crowned by Gov. Muskie.) Lobster festivals, Gilbert and Sullivan theatre at Monmouth, amusement park and country fair in Norway (market lamb show and sale).
