(These are animated cartoon characters. They have substance. THey are not just drawn, but look like small animated dolls.) Uniformed maid. Doodlebug man. 'Milk, buttermilk' signs outside his home. Cartoon cow. Screen intertitle: 'Adolph Zukor and Jesse L. Lasky presents 'Grass, a nation's battle for life, a Paramount Picture.....' 20:00. Cattle, horses on a snow-covered slope. A herd of them. Man walking across river. He secures mule at right which is laden. Monkey on mule's back. At left he has black calf by its horn. Dragonfly lands on his head and hurls sword at Felix, the cat, hitting him in the head. 21:02. Dragonfly throws another sword. Felix grasps the third sword and spears the dragonfly with it. Dragonfly pursues Felix who continues fencing at him with the sword. Dragonfly pursues Felix. Screen intertitle: 'Charles Chaplin in 'Easy Street.' Top of street lamppost is held over man's head by Charlie Chaplin who is astride man's back. Brick building in background. Man tries to pull his head loose. Charlie tries also.
