Arctic voyage: Schooner at the dock preparing to leave. People climb into rigging to unfurl sails. Boat on the water, lots of shots of the coast line. Fishing village, mountains, few trees. Large icebergs in the water, broken up ice. Skinning a seal. Rowing ashore. Skiing, haircuts, tagging baby birds. Storm at sea. Ice. Taking soundings for ocean depth. Men taking hot baths in rowboats on the ship. Boat on shore for repairs. Doing laundry and other chores. Inuit people. Social time dancing and playing harmonicas. Scenes of village.
