AbstractIntertitle: "Home Movies Presents Thanksgiving 1946" 16:39-18:41 Color views of family around table laughing and eating. Young girls also eating (same two as seen before). Smiling man, a pre-adolescent girl and older man are at table. One girl eats stuffed celery. Another eats from her plate. Dad eats from plate. Intertitle: "Christmas Morning 1946" 18:42- 20:39 Color "Santa" hands out gifts to young girls. Santa has beard and sunglasses and hood on his head. He gives a top to one girl, and pulls presents out of his cloth bag for each of the girls. He poses for pictures with the girls- turning the younger one toward the camera. He pulls out a horn and blows it, teaching the younger girl to do the same. More posing for the camera. Intertitle: "Winter Sports. Judy, Mary Lou, Linda, Janice 1946" 20:40 -23:13 Color and B&W Younger of two girls puts on homemade skis, then pushes herself down a small hill by her house. The skis fall off. View of the younger daughter on a wood sled going down the same hill. More views of child sledding down the driveway, then she and mom pull their sleds back up the driveway. The dog follows. Looks like 20+ inches of snow on ground. another child, then adult ski down the driveway. One young girl tries out snowshoes and walks near the picket fence. 23:14-25:05 B&W Four young girls pose in their Sunday best (Easter?) with hats and gloves and coats. Two are the girls we have seen before. CUs of each of the girls. CU of young teenage girl previously seen at Thanksgiving. MS of grandmother, talking to camera. CU of grandmother. 25:06- 29:04 Color Chain saws cutting logs and through bottoms of trees. Men use ax to chop down trees in woods, then strip limbs. A large two-man chain saw guts a large trunk. CUs of sawing and chopping and felling. Some underexposed. In some shots men measure lengths on the trunk to determine where to cut them to size. 29:04-30:08 Color Birthday cake is lighted with six candles in front of young girl we have seen before. She blows all candles out, then several girls and boys enjoy pieces of cake. Underexposed. Wider view of kids around the table eating cake.
