Interview with historian Mary R. Calvert regarding her life and work. Traces her family's history in Maine from Revolutionary War period to present. She describes the contents of her books: Dawn Over the Kennebec; The Kennebec Wilderness Awakens; Black Robe on the Kennebec (about Jesuit priest Father Racle). Austin Wilkins of Harland, ME was state forester of Maine. Interviewed about his life and career. Both interviews are interspersed with stills and short clips of footage.
