Amateur footage. Can notes and donor's comments as follows (reel numbers are NHF-assigned): 9. As Others See Us #2. Roping. Skiing. About Reels 8 and 9, donor writes: 'He [William Rand's father] titled 'As Others See Us.' The initial scenes were of the family growing up in Lincoln, Mass. Will Rogers was one of Dad's favorites so we learned to spin rope. After jumping in to the spinning rope we marched in circle just the way Will Rogers did. [Also] there is a historic picture of Bobby Livermore, an Olympic skier and friend of mine, racing down the Richard Taft Trail in Franconia. Bobby is the one who keeps his balance on an icy lower turn where we stood watching in awe as most of the racers fell, some crashing into the woods.'
