      Collection contains interviews with various residents of the Surry and Blue Hill, Maine, areas, including retired quarryman Dewie Davis, historian Esther Wood, Donald Lord, Francis and John Mann, Robert Slaven, Harvey Saunders, Dana Candage, Walter Kane, Alida Camp, Laredo Carter and members of the McGraw family and Curran family. Collection also contains factual works. "Crotch Island" (1989) is footage from working granite quarry, showing workers and equipment. [Surry Folklife Festival] (1989) is an amateur production about festival activities including weaving, quilting, spinning and carving; Karen Frangoulis plays guitar and sings with other women, and Helen McGraw and Jill Beckwith lead a meeting on family and community history.
      Hugh Curran, a Surry, Maine, resident, was one of the organizers of an annual folklife festival held in the town.
