Stanton, Robert Collection

Collection contains an educational/cultural work, "New England," a professionally shot and edited film focusing on various aspects of the New England region. Included are scenes of nature (summer and winter), towns, rural and urban life, industry, maple syrup production, ice harvesting, blueberry harvesting, and boatbuilding using hand tools. Numerous architectural styles are shown.
Robert Stanton was a motion picture photographer and lecturer. He filmed travel and adventure movies on four continents, and presented these films in numerous travel talks during the 1940s, through the "World Adventure Series", the "Travel and Adventure Series" and other forums. Virginia Gallagher is his daughter.
