      Collection contains educational/cultural works depicting Indian crafts, birch bark canoe making and basket making (1936-1946), and winter sports including ice skating, ice boating and skiing. Collection also contains nature works: primarily scenes of birds, the environment, and visitors to the Acadia National Park area; park highlights including Thunder Hole, Cadillac Mountain and Frenchman Bay cruise.
      Maurice Sullivan was Acadia National Park's Chief Park Naturalist in the 1930s and 1940s; he died in 1994. Films were used in his lectures at the American Ornithologists' Union (Harvard University) and also shown at local high schools, colleges, granges and clubs.
