Partridge, Ann I. Collection

      1949 – 1978
      The collection consists of a total of 53 8mm film shot by Ann Partridge from 1949 until 1978 in New England. These consist of home movies shot in New England, mainly Massachusetts and Maine, including family activities, holidays, weddings, family cookouts, children playing, vacations in Maine, some church-related activities, and everyday life scenes.
      Ann Isabel Partridge (nee Richardson) was born in Berlin New Hampshire on August 13, 1922.  She was the daughter of Clyde and Lyle Richardson and had one brother, Carl.  Ann attended Plymouth Teacher's College (no Plymouth State University) and was an elementary school teacher in Oxford, MA from 1951 until her retirement in 1982 where she established Oxford's first Education Program from Students with Special needs.  Ann was a counselor at Camp Laughing Loon in the 1940's when she met her friend Geneve (Ginny) Bouley.  Ann lived with the Bouley family until 1958 when they relocated to Woburn, MA, and remained a close family friend for the rest of her life.  In 1977 Ann married Howard Partridge, who died 3 years later.

      Ann was an avid amateur photographer and won several competitions in Worcester County in the 1950's.  She was also an artist who worked in oil painting, pastel drawing, metal enameling, and leather working.  She loved the outdoors and in the 1960's she bought a camper trailer, which she used to travel throughout the United States and Canada.

      Geneve (Ginny) Iverson Bouley (nee Fogg) was married to Norman Bouley and had five children; Eugene, Joanne, Dianne, Leanne, and Donna.
