Chavonelle Family Collection

      Contains 15 reels of 16mm film, primarily home movies taken by Arthur Chavonelle, Jr. from circa 1934 to 1939. The films portray family activities, travel, work activities, and early airplanes. Of particular note is footage of the Flood of 1936 shot around Waterville, ME and a major fire in Auburn, ME. Also included are three titles released by Castle Films: Hawaii (before statehood), Edward VIII (abdication in 1936), and High spots of America.
