Points of interest include Jonathan Buck's grave, Buck Memorial Library, Fort Knox, Champion Paper Mill and Silver Lake. "Mysteries of the Unknown," also narrated by students, discusses local lore and legend about Revolutionary War ships sunk in the Penobscot River near Bucksport as well as haunted roads, a witch's curse on Jonathan Buck and an imagined underriver tunnel from Fort Knox to Bucksport.

Biographical/Historical Notes
"Places of Interest" was created by a group of eighth-grade students. They used "the community as a classroom and community members as resources" in a class project intended to increase their awareness of the Bucksport area. The "Mysteries" video was made by a subsequent group of students at the school. Faculty advisor for these projects was Bob Valenoti. Bucksport, population 4,825 in 1990, lies opposite Fort Knox State Park on the Penobscot River. Fort Knox was completed in the early 1860s, and Civil War troops were trained at this site.
