Women Made Films Screening Event at the Alamo

Northeast Historic Film (NHF) and Lesbian Home Movie Project (LHMP) are hosting a free screening of films from the Woman Behind the Camera Project.

The event will feature a selection of amateur films and home movies created by women from the 1920s to the 1980s with commentary from NHF Archivist Karin Carlson-Snider, LHMP Director Sharon Thompson, and Florida amateur filmmaker Shirley Lasseter. Popcorn, light refreshments, and a cash bar will be available.

Ghost Stories by Local Storytellers!

Wednesday On Main and WERU Community Radio are proud to present their 4th annual Storytelling Event on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, 6:00 pm, at The Alamo Theatre.

As always, WERU Radio has selected amazing, amusing and articulate storytellers – this time, they’ll thrill you with a ghostly theme – it IS that time of year, after all – and we have an extra special treat – of course!

During the day, the featured speakers will meet with current Bucksport High School students. In the evening, there will be a public presentation at the Alamo Theatre.

Lucy: An Experiential Art and Music Adventure

Join us in experiencing the arts on Thursday, October 18th, from 6-7PM at the Alamo Theatre in Bucksport, ME. This special exhibit and show will be an experiential art and music adventure, showcasing many local artists and musicians. Included in the ticket price is light refreshments and hors d'oervres.
