Model T's to War: American Ambulances on the Western Front

If you're interested in battlefield archaeology, "Model T's to War" is a must-see. The First World War began in August 1914, but America didn't have a functional army in Europe until the fall of 1917. Between 1914 and 1917, more than 3,000 Americans, paying their own passage, sailed to France to help in the war effort; the majority of which drove Ford Model T ambulances, later to be known as the American Field Service.

Preserve

Without cold storage at low humidity, the film in your basement or your neighbor's attic cracks, rots, and fades, and part of our region's history is lost. NHF staff members have the skills and tools to preserve your valued moving images.
