NHF Endowment Success

In 2000, we received a $500,000 challenge grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) for the construction of the conservation center and endowment.  NHF successfully completed this challenge grant in 2012. Former Executive Director David Weiss says, “Endowment donors are those who have the longest perspective on the value of the historical and cultural resources created by NHF. An endowment is money that is never spent; the donations are carefully invested so that earnings help support the programs of the organization indefinitely.”

Northeast Historic Film was honored in September 2008 with a $25,000 endowment challenge grant from the Maine Community Foundation. In March 2010, thanks to the generous support of the NHF board and supporters, we have completed the match. We are so very grateful to each and every person and organization that have supported our endowment campaigns. If you are interested in making a gift to our endowment, please contact Brook Ewing Minner, Executive Director, at 207-469-0924 ext. 101 or brook@oldfilm.org
