AbstractReel 7: "Quick scenes from Dr Kaligari." (15:44). Pan. Neighborhood. Man climbs down ladder leaning on house. Backyards. Telephone wires. Inside building now, very dark. Group of men lined up for portrait. Laughing, swatting at each other but trying to hold still. (17:02). Man taunts another in the group and group breaks out of still pose to drag man off screen. People laughing. Young man with hair parted in middle walks slowly, self-consciously toward screen. Shot of men standing beside row of parked 1920's trucks. Jump cut, men in cars drive off one by one. Men flood out of building. Now women follow. More men. One in suspenders trips. Girls take each other by the arm.
