DVD slate: Reel 67. Olympic Trials [Cambridge 1928] and Skating 1929. Track and field high jump, many people in stands, runners on track behind. Probably at Harvard stadium. Pole vault and high jump alternating. Pole vaulters land on dirt, not on mats! Runners, long jump. Hurdles. High jump technique varies. [Bob King made 6 ft 5" and later won gold at 1928 Olympics in Amsterdam.] CU African American jumper. Hurdles coming toward camera. Runners, distance not known. Pole vault, sign says 13'9' and above that high jump height, 6'5" Skating on a pond, skaters with hockey sticks, someone on a sled, a dog. Hockey players not in frame, person attempts jumps, falling often. Woman in bloomers pulls two people on sled. Figure skaters back in frame, leaping and turning. Young man falls flat on stomach several times. Hockey players include woman in a skirt. At least a dozen players on pond, several women. Ice surface is good. Skaters are able, few falls or crashes. Young man figure skater shows off, falls on rear. Dirty lens, woman on sled comes toward camera, followed by Airedale, more veiws of dog, sledders, skier. Sledder ran off trail, apparently, all covered in snow, someone brushes him off. Toboggan.
